Amp Rogue - Prototype Ver. 0.1.1
In a monochromatic world of chaos, can you find your rhythm to survive?
Hey everyone. I'm Amin.
To be honest, this has felt less like making a game and more like discovering one. An idea that kept playing in my mind, and now it's become something you can actually experience.
A quick heads-up: What you're about to play is not a finished game; it's a prototype. A soul in a temporary body. It's filled with placeholder art, a basic UI, and limited content. But the game's beating heart—the core mechanic—is here. And I need your help to find out if that heart beats strong enough.
What is this game about?
It's a thrilling experience of movement, music, and survival. You are thrown into a stylized, mostly monochromatic world where danger lurks around every corner. Your goal is simple: stay alive, protect what you've gathered, and grow stronger.
But how? By taking refuge in the only safe haven in this world: sound.
The Secret to Survival: Take Shelter in the Music
- ⚔️ Rhythmic Combat: Every shot you fire and every move you make can sync with the beat. Find the rhythm to overcome the chaos.
- 🔊 A Sonic Sanctuary: In each area, there's a source of music. Getting closer to it makes you tougher and more powerful. It's your sanctuary, but your enemies know this too. Will you risk getting closer to danger for a chance at power?
- ✨ Creative Power-ups: Discover abilities that can twist your gameplay experience in completely new and unexpected ways.
The Future Vision: Imagine one day being able to personalize this experience with your own music, creating a deeply personal and emotional atmosphere. That's the path we're heading down.
Controls
- Move: WASD Keys
- Shoot: Auto for now
You Are the Most Important Part of This Project
I need all of your feedback, the good and the bad. Please be brutally honest! After you play, if you have a moment, I'd be grateful if you could share your thoughts on these questions in the comments:
- The Overall Feel: Did you feel the thrill and the sense of escaping danger? How did moving and shooting feel?
- The Core Mechanic: Did the gameplay loop (fighting while moving towards the music source) keep you engaged? Or did it feel repetitive after a while, despite the rich mechanic?
- Risk vs. Reward: Were you motivated enough to approach the music source to get stronger? Did it feel risky enough?
- Clarity: What was the most confusing or frustrating part of the game for you?
Thank you for being a part of this adventure and for helping to shape this raw idea. I truly appreciate it.
